Well i guess not many ppl will see this but oh well ... I have already sent emails to every1 saying that we had revived our blog ... Ah ...

Hmm well U guys dun hafta wait till this sunday to check ur gems appointment ... Instead, U GUYS CAN CHECK IT NOW AT THIS VERY TIME AS U READ THIS POST !!!!

Well so far i only know that mine, mervyn and daniel's gems appointment is on tuesday 9am ...

So good luck to all of u in getting the gems u desired haha ...

Well if possible keep me update on the gems + gems code + time slot and day + class room that any1 of u would be taking ... thanks alot ...

What gems i taking ? --> no idea ... so long as got company will do lol ... would prefer to take monday morning gems ...

Week 6 /// 09:16

Well last weekend yinghua came ...
We slack at home during good friday haha ...
Went to Harbour Town and Glenelg Beach on last Saturday ... Well Mervyn bought two pairs of shoes LOL he can get his size there =p ... I got a converse slippers for 15 bucks instead of 40+bucks? =p

Went to city last sunday followed by the botanic garden ... Went to eat hungry jacks which is like burger king in singapore lol ...

Went to the Cleland Wildlife Park on monday ... Well we fed the kangaroos haha !!! Saw many roaming animals ... Took loads of pictures ... Ate ramen at central market after that haha ... Well azhar cant eat cus there is pork =/ ...

Well if u guys wanna see the picts, go bugged azhar ... ask him upload them haha ...

Oh well tmr we will be going to city again =p I saw ripcurl shoes !!! gonna buy them tmr ... hopefully =p Cant find them in singapore ...

Here is Week 5 !!! /// 10:07

Well although week 5 has not ended yet, i can possible give a very rough idea for the whole of week 5 =p ... Hmm well dont be mistaken ... For us its week 5 now ... But u guys are having week 6 now ... So do not be confuse =) .

Well i did not do any DNA extraction this week ... Did loads of PCR and running of gels ... We had to stain the gel with EtBr !!!! Followed by taking the photo of the gels ... Hmm think tats wad we have been doing the past few days ...

Hmm, we will be going to the Southern Depot again tomorrow to get some soil samples ...
Oh ya !! Yinghua would be staying with us this friday to the next monday ...

Hmm BTW this friday is Good Friday !! Daniel's Holy Day ... He gotta consult the priest once in like the whole year ? So i wonder how long would the consultation ends ... --> LOL
Y is Yinghua staying to the next monday? Cus its EASTER MONDAY !!!! Its holiday for us !!! Woots . Holiday !

Weekends? ---> Probably going to the beach again ... AND dunno wat will that ''weirdo'' cooked for us ... hmm well did i ever mention who is the weirdo ? Well u guys should be able to guess ... The 1 who always called himself **T ... WHICH IS LIKE Ekkkk Ewww Yuck !!!! =/

Oh Daniel, on the gems registration day itself, after u had successfully register the gem that u want, sent me an email to confirm it ... Thx. If possible notify me the rest of the ppl's gems after they had successfully taken it .... (Remember to include the gem's code, name and time slot) Arigatou ...

What have we been doing for the past 4 weeks ?? /// 13:47

Bfore ITP (16/2/2008 Sat and 17/2/2008 Sun):

Well the Saturday we went to the chinatown (DANIEL'S TOWN) followed by the beach !!! We watched the sunset finally =) ...
On sunday we went to Marion Shopping Centre for like 1hour? Haha just walk around there ... It was said to be bigger than Suntec City Shopping Centre?

Week 1 (18/2/2008 - 22/2/2008):

Well practically on week 1 we did nothing major ... Just prepared loads of agars, read safety regulations, prepared agars again and wash the laboratory equipments such as beakers and glass bottles =/ ... Kinda bored isin't it ? Haha well the exciting part is at the back =) ...

Hmm where we go during the weekend? ---> Well we meet out with YingHua at the city on Saturday ... We just slack home on Sunday =/

Week 2 (23/2/2008 - 29/2/2008):

Ah prepared more agars and both =/. Finally we get our own samples and did inoculation and finally the ''Traditional way of DNA extraction.'' On friday, we finally get to do the REAL stuff

---> we were given soil samples(contaminated oil soil samples) and did the DNA extraction through the use on a commercial KIT called ''PowerSoil^TM Kit ... It was awesome =)

On Sunday, we went to the Belair national park on Sunday and it was like hot ? Hmm... No i shd say damn hot =) ... Saturday we slack home watching some animes that i brought there hahaZ ... Own entertainment ...

Week 3 (30/2/2008 - 7/3/2008):

We did PCR !!! The use of the real machine for PCR reaction =) ... If was kinda cool ... Controlled the machine using a HP PDA palm ...

We prepared agarose gel for running of DNA that was extracted on the previous week ... Results ? It was good ... Alot better than what we obtain in school ... We could see clear bands !!!

OMG OMG OMG --> We prepared mimimal salt media broth and placed them into 228 red cap tubes !!! Followed by addition of 6 different kind of hydrocarbons (Similar to those of petroleum) into the 228 tubes ...

Haha finally on friday, we get to go to the Southern Waste Depot ... We get to dig some soil that are contaminated with crude oil ... We added fungi that could use the crude oil as carbon source of in another words break down the crude oil ...

Weekend ? ---> SLACK SLACK SLACK ... Cus it was damn hot outside .... =( boo!

Week 4 (10/3/2008-14/3/2008):

Haha on monday it was a public holiday for us ---> Adelaide Cup (Horse racing day haha)

Well we did more DNA extraction from oil contaminated biopile soil samples ...

Did PCR again haha ... DNA extraction using commercial kit again ...Went to the Southern Waste Depot again ... Well it was a really good experience working with the people in the lab ... They had much more higher education qualification than us ...

Weekend ---> not here yet leh so cant tell u guys much ... Dunno where azhar wanna go DANG!

Week 5 ---> Not here yet lah !!! Dun expect =/ ... Well we will most likely be going back to the depot again =) . OH Ya we will hafta check the 228 tubes for growth and write down our findings haha ...

Hmm,finally recovered my password and I am able to get back in
I am not very consistent with blogs,I get bored easily and tends to neglect them
Hey,at least this old blog is still here,I deleted like three of my previous blogs
To be honest,it has been two long and winding years
Many things have happened,may it be for the better or for ugly
Familiarity breeds contempt after all while absence makes the heart grow fonder
Thus is the pitiful human nature or is it a strength of the mankind? I really wonder
Religions always preach to be kind to one another and not to harbour hatred for others
However,times may have change but it is the same as ever,maybe even deteriorated,I fear
We live in an age where facades are all round us and hatred is as rampant as ever
One can even say that it is ever-growing and consuming the very being of humans within
What is the counter though? There must be a solution or a cure you say
Simple
Purge all those negative thoughts in your mind,clear all misconceptions and avoid all those petty misunderstandings that plague this world
Bury the hatchet and stop harbouring those deep grudges
What is the point? It will just make you feel emotions that will just be detrimental to your health
Positive is the keyword,lambasting and wallowing in the doldrums would not do any good
Make the best out of every situation,if faced with a difficult situation or placed in a difficult spot,ask for help
Just open your mouth and I am certain people will help you,it may not be instantly but wait for a while and help will certainly arrive
Let us not forget that we are all humans,life is such a long journey
Walk the path with a light heart instead of being burdened by all those negative emotions that will just cloud and impair your judgement
Never assume anything
Clarification is of utmost importance,it is never better than hearing from the horse's mouth,directly from the source
Most of all,remember to have fun,the crux of life,so I suppose
